installing the mods manually is better anyways, so may as well just not get the mod manager if you don't trust it. R2Modman is safe, and as long as you enjoying BONEWORKS all is well. Thunderstore mod manager is safe, 17 votes, 16 comments. Virustotal sez 2 security vendors flagged it as malicious.
Should be able to go to settings in the thunderstore and click browse local files. Then click on the profile you want to put the nexus mod in then just head to bepinex/plugins/ and drop it in there. Keeps it organized so it’s not in your main valheim steam folder and you can create a new profile later if you want to change things around. Now ...
The file path directory for loading the game is the Definitive edition.exe (main menu of game clearly says Definitive Edition). I was told that Thunderstore downloads all the mods and the bepin ex files into a separate folder apart from the outwards folder/s and then once the game has been ran, the mod manager loads the mods into the game.
Along with allowing Lethal setting to allow mods. Bit late but: Go to Steam -> Library -> right click on lethal company -> manage -> browse local files and remember the game path you have. If you're on Windows, just copy paste that. Now open Thunderstore go to settings, and search for CHANGE LETHAL COMPANY DIRECTORY.
Yeah it's safe but just use r2 mod manager instead. Since to use thunderstorm you have to download overwolf which from what I've heard is spyware, not sure if it's true but rather be safe than sorry. Mods still work (I have 35 installed), but many are ...
Thunderstore Running slow. Thunderstore runs extremly slow whenever I click onto a profile with over 100+ mods to the point where I can't start my game or change settings or anything... same here, the browser isn't even loading for me. I've tried 3 different browsers and restarting my computer and everything, but I can't go to a mods website.
Community_TV. •. Having tried both, I prefer Nexus/Vortex: Thunderstore (TS) is pretty good, but requires "Overwolf (OW)", which I don't like. TS also has an integrated CONFIG editor, which is nice. TS and OW continue running while you're in Valheim, which is annoying. My issue: TS has an option for running the game 'Modded' or 'Vanilla ...
I've just installed Thunderstore Mod Manager to use mods and the console that appears when you start the game appears for a while and closes after a few seconds. I've tried reinstalling both Thunderstore and SOTF.
