Hero. @AgentButterfly25 Try moving the entire Mods folder to the desktop and allowing the game to create a new one. If that doesn't help, download a fresh copy of one mod or cc item confirmed compatible with patch 1.96 and add it to the new Mods folder, but nothing else, and test. If that doesn't help either, let me know what antivirus you use.

Hero. @Mack232323 Moving the Electronic Arts folder shouldn't be a problem. The game will create a new one, with a new Sims 4 folder inside, if it's able to launch at all. If Sims 4 works in the new account, it means the problem is contained to your old account. You can simply continue playing in the new account if you want. For any saves or other user data you'd like to transfer to the new account, sign into the old account again and copy the relevant files to C:\Users\Public.
