Just an FYI, my understanding is that the frame of the golf cart is not strong enough for a 3 point seat belt to actually make a difference as the anchor point is not strong. If it makes someone feel safer than it might be worth the extra money for that person, but functionally the extra cost isn't worth it IMHO.
Looking for informed advice from veteran golf cart owners. So I’m pretty much sold on a late model Yamaha gas cart. And leaning towards buying from The Villages Golf Cars. Please discuss accessories which you consider “must haves” - ones that really make the golf cart experience more comfortable or practical or safer. Thanks in advance, Doug
The accessories that added are because I'm a golfer. I added a sand bottle to the passenger side of the cart, so both golfers can get a bottle without walking around the cart. I also got rid of the 6-pack cooler since it's too small to put in sandwiches or containers.
A Villages ready golf cart has two names on the front such as Bubba and Me. It has a place to hold two golf bags and a urinal to hold sand for divots. It must have a license plate from your old state, a flag from your old school, a cooler for beer, and a basket for jackets to wear inside restaurants.

The screen is mounted into a frame that fits on your cart. It is removable. The screen smooths the air coming into the cart - by this I mean without the screen, the air blowing into the cart when you are going 20mph is harsh. The screen restricts the air flow resulting in a more comfortable experience.
If you like to do things yourself, LED Lights, Bulbs & LED Lighting Accessories | superbrightleds.com had lights specifically for golf carts, not sure if they still do. Pennsylvania, for 60+ years, most recently, Allentown, now TV.
I'm vertically challenged too! A couple of years ago, I couldn't reach the pedals of a cart we were renting. I found out that the golf cart store in Ocala (Carts and Clubs, I think??) has pedal extenders for the Yamaha carts. They told me the extenders only fits the Yamahas. I tried the extenders in the store and they worked great! _____
