The plan was to have my right eye (dominant) operated on 2/22/21 with Vivity (18.5D) lens, and my left eye (19.5D) operated on 3/8/21. Initially, I was very impressed with the brightness of my vision after the first implant (right eye). My vision was blurry at all ranges (near, mid, and far) from the onset. I was told this was normal and would ...

The PanOptix lens acts more like a trifocal lens, providing short-mid-and-long distance viewing, but still suffers from some of the light halos at night, due to its outer “close up rings”. I debated going with two Vivity lenses and reading glasses, but I really LOVED the idea of never needing glasses or contacts.

I'm only three weeks in, but so far it is amazing. my distance vision has always been poor (like 20/800), but corrected to 20/20 with contacts, until i got a bad cataract in my right eye. The vivity lens gave me perfect 20/20 at distance and up to about 18 inches away. Colors got brighter and everything is super sharp now in my right eye -- far ...

The options offered to me for my second eye are the monofocal AcrySof again for $0, an AcrySof IQ Toric for $1100, a Vivity for $2175, or PanOptix for $2175. The Vivity and PanOptix are non toric or toric for the same price. Of these choices I have selected the new monofocal Clareon for $300. My surgeon discouraged me from going with the Vivity.
