I have the credit card and I love it for 2 reasons: I charge bills to my CC and then pay off immeditaley. That way I get the Athleta rewards & can use to buy myself Athelta stuff for cheap. I know there are CC with better rewards, etc but realistically, I would never use the rewards to buy myself stuff, I would use them for family expenses.
For those of you with the athleta credit card, have you received the 5% rewards bonus yet? This is for the special offer of 5x points in grocery, gas, restaurants, travel and maybe some other categories. I don’t believe I’ve seen my points and I reached out to Barclays to ask and they send they are added after my statement closes.
When my card came in the mail, it included a postcard saying I would get 5x points when I use my card outside the family of brands thru 9/30. I received the postcard again like a month later. I use my card for everything (gas, groceries, power bill, etc.) and pay off as I go so I can earn more rewards faster. These bonus pints are not showing up.
The points rack up pretty quickly and I get lots of reward codes. There's a $15 off anything reward for your birthday too, at least that's true of the BR card so I'm guessing Athleta has the same. I was thinking of switching so I could get the Athleta birthday reward instead of Banana but I'm too lazy and don't want to open another account.
I have the Athleta card and get the benefits when I order GAP, Old Navy or BR. They send me GAP cash and all that and I can exchange it for points (credit) once it expires. I really like having the card - I put big purchases on, pay them off right away and still get Athelta $$ I can use to get "free" Altheta clothing. I am sure there is a credit card with better rewards, but I love this becasue then I dont feel bad for using my rewards on clothes instead of something our house/family needs haha.

My Gap Card (and all Gap Inc cards— Old Navy, Banana Republic, Gap and Athleta) are due to transition from a Synchrony Visa card to a Barclays Mastercard card in the next 2 months.
The credit card reward points are so frustrating that after my last round, I decided I’m only going to use points on stuff I can try on and buy in store. I’m currently trying to get $110 in reward points back into my account, I wanted to have it for F&F, now I guess I’ll wait until Black Friday to use them.
However, I do not see the option to use my Rewards Credit Card to make purchase. There is an option to add credit or debit card. If I enter my rewards credit card number, it says to enter a valid credit card number with a Mastercard symbol. But my card is just a rewards card, not a Mastercard and also with no expiration date.
