On 17 February 1995, along with Quoc Hoc High Schoolin Hue and Le Hong Phong High Schoolin Ho Chi Minh City, Chu Van An High School has been planned and constructed by Prime Minister Võ Văn Kiệtto become one of three national high schools in Vietnam.
