Brand new s24+, and the usb connection is terrible. Constantly disconnects from android auto in multiple cars with multiple brand new Anker cables. The cable just seems to not firmly plug in. I tried without the case, didn't help.
Galaxy S22. If your laptop or desktop does not have a USB-C port you cannot connect your phone via cable. You need to get one of these: A USB-C to USB-A adapter. You also need to use the cable that came with your phone that has USB-C at both ends (or any PD cable). Your computer will not see your phone otherwise.
