    Re: Having trouble converting fractions to decimals. Try this, it's a bit of a cheat but seems to work. Open your file. Click Tools. Click Options. Look for the Transition tab, click the Transition check box, and then click OK. Next select your complete range of cells, E2:E1063. Next select Find & Replace and replace the double quote with nothing.

    A running decimal total for the dimensions added is calculated. I am converting this running decimal dimension total back to the FIF Format. However, I want the fraction (decimal or mantissa portion of the RT dimension) to be in sixteens and have the lowest common denominator. For example: 4/16 would be represented as 1/4, 2/16 as 1/8 etc.
