This morning my Directv remote (RC66rx) is no longer controlling my Roku tv (40S325) Power, volume. I have 2 TCL Roku tvs and one Westinghouse Roku tv. None of them are working with the Directv remote. Tried resetting remote, tried replacement remote, rebooting receiver, etc... Any ideas? thanks
I tried resetting the remote (and then reconfiguring it for my audio receiver) and just using my TV remote for the TV, but then it won't allow my to use the directv remote for the volume on my audio receiver. Weird! The only thing I can think to do is buy a universal remote such as a harmony, but why should I have to do that?
You'd need to go into both the settings menu on your TV as well as on the DTV Stream box and make sure that HDMI-CEC is turned on in both places. Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button at the same time until the green light on the top of the remote blinks twice. Using the number key, enter the first digit of the code above. Wait for the green light on top of the remote to flash twice. Enter the remaining 4 digits of the code above.
The last step is to press ENTER not SELECT, try that. And you do need to be in RF mode in order to program the RC71 to control other devices. Before trying RF again you night just want to start from scratch and do a reset to defaults on the remote, press MUTE+SELECT then enter 981, the LED will flash 4 times when done.
I'm using the refurbished Gemini and it uses the same IR codes that the original DirecTV remote uses so I didn't have to reprogram my universal remote when I switched. If you currently have DirecTV satellite and are using the DirecTV remote, you can keep using it. The stream boxes have a different remote that comes with them.

I took my DVR RF remote into the bedroom, and chose reset on the remote setup menu, and the ADVANCED menu then returned as an option. I could then switch the H24-200 box to RF, and then ...
Many thanks for this reply; but I have done all of the usual double checks (it is set for RF, remotes registered to this receiver, reset the receiver, etc.). All that done by me and with the direction of the Directv tech folks at least four times. I'm new to this forum stuff so I apologize for taking folks time; I just am grasping at straws here.
