Bluetooth has optional audio codec for 16kHz for telephony, but both the laptop maker and the headset maker has to pay extra money for it --- and many laptop makers don't pay for it. This wide bandwidth telephone codec will still sound like crap for music. Apple uses AAC as an optional audio codec on both their computer and AirPods.
Poor sound quality. I use Win 10's gaming option to just record videos only which works well however the sound is terrible crackling and distorted. I've the latest download for Conexant sound but there's still no improvement so any ideas how to solve this would be much appreciated. Thanks. Hi, There is a significant problem with the the new generation of Windows which is to do with (mostly) professional USB microphones, mine being the Audio Technica AT2020 USB Plus. The microphone input by default is far too quiet (and also slightly lower quality). This problem occurs in Windows 10, however it worked perfectly in Windows 7.
14 Dec 2019 #3. An HDMI 1.4 port supports 3840X2160 resolution, but at 30 Hz. Even ignoring "Anibor's" post, you won't get UHD resolution at a good refresh rate. As it stands, the laptops resolution is 1366X768. The image is getting scaled up 3X (in both axes), so it's probably not going to look crisp. My Computers.

Windows 10 Automatically changes Sound when Microphone gets enabled. When my microphone gets activated, the output audio quality and volume gets changed. I have noticed that throughout different Versions over several Years. I open Adobe Premiere. Premiere uses the Microphone -> Sound quality and volume worsens.

Note this problem also exists if you are using a Display port->HDMI cable attached to your monitor. A quick getaround --especially if you have a USB docking station is simply to plug in cheap USB->Audio device -- depending on quality you want for audio and quality your speakers these things can be less than 10 EUR.
