I've rarely used the Walmart photo center in recent years, but I'm looking for general experience/knowledge. I placed an order at 10 pm tonight for basic 4x6 prints and they were ready for pickup less than 20 minutes later. I didn't expect them to be ready until tomorrow morning since I thought it would be closed.
I got a lot of great prints from my photography class in college. If you're having a difficult time getting reliable prints, try using a professional printing lab rather than Walgreens, Walmart, etc. Miller's and MPix are pretty good, but the prints might be a tad on the warm side. I have found that photos taken by my Fuji digital cameras (both X series and GFX) when printed on these Walmart Fuji machines look much truer in terms of color rendition than photos that I've had printed elsewhere, either on Noritsu or Kodak minilabs (e.g. CVS) or on professional inkjet photo prints e.g. from a specialist store.
You can pay over $7 for an official Walmart passport picture or 9 cents. Take your pick. Those 4 x 6 prints with 6 different passport sized pictures are a great way to save money IF, and only if, the person taking the picture understands that the background must be clean and white.
Hoping walmart gets the sense kicked into them and finally change out the large format print from the epson to literally anything else more useful, but it is, you know, walmart. Reply corysbeard • Entertainment •
