598 posts · Joined 2009. #16 · Jun 26, 2010. Yes, Forget about and Ribbed tanks and heat press vinyl. I have tested everything and nothing works. Buy the ringspun cotton combed tanks and they are perfect. Also the Softsyle Fitted Gildan t's are the same and work great. They Run very small though.
Hello I m new to this community and heat tranfer vinyl After researching I want to try siser and thermoflex .but I don't have a heat press I want to do small baby onsies and so,e kids t shirts . I received samples from companies before I actually purchased my cutter and heat transfer vinyl, and they sent me some already cut and weeded designs to press.

An adhesive backing tacks the material in place and the edges are sewn with a zig-zag or satin stitch or heat pressed with transfer vinyl.

I read a method on these forums where if you place a sheet of regular paper over the shirt and press for the same time as your heat transfer vinyl, then peel hot, you can gradually remove it. I have not tried it myself, but I've heard from other members that it worked, but took a few presses.
