I have never seen a ROM, ever, that hasn't downloaded as a zip. My emulator won't even open .gba files. The emulator opens the .zip to run the ROM. The .zip is what contains the gba file. That's how I've always seen it.

Battle mechanics are updated to Generation 8. And of course, there will also be many of the QOL features you know and love from modern Pokémon games or other ROM hacks. This game can be played on three difficulties. You can switch between Normal and Hard at any point.
MajorQuality of Life / Mechanic Changes: Fairy type has been added, along with a few moves to support it. The Physical/Special split was implemented. Badge boosts were removed. EXP share is now a Key Item that affects the entire party, but is also able to be toggled on/off. EXP is granted when capturing Pokemon.
Looking for a good Pokemon Emerald rom. : r/Roms. I've tried a lot of different roms already and none of them unfortunately work. I am tying to play the game on a gba emulator on my 3ds.
