    Moderator. The microphone function is designed for a mobile phone in conjunction with the in-line on/off remote switch which has no effect on a laptop or PC microphone jack. Not compatible with laptop or PC as far as the mic is concerned. You need a headset designed for a PC. Bose don't make those.

    With the BlueTooth device on, go into the Control Panel, select "Hardware and Sound", under Sound select "Manage Audio Devices". You will get a window with a list of devices in the Playback tab. Select the BT device (it will show as Headphones). The default device will be indicated by a check mark in a green circle.

    Select your mic and double click it. There will be tabs at the top and the second will be "Listen". Select the tab and check the box for "Listen to this device".     I have an HP ENVY 17 Laptop with Windows 10. I had an issue with the speaker, but it happened again, so I got a new speaker, and it happened again. The Bluetooth will let the speaker play for a little while but then disconnect and go back to the PC speakers, and I have to connect the speaker again.

    The following are some things i have tried. 4 pole splitter cable to 3 pole - to only plug in sound and no mic. usb to 3.5mm audio adapter (no mic) Besign ground loop isolater along with option 1. The splitter from (1) with the ground loop isolater (3) and unplugging all other devices on computer. None of the above seem to make a difference.

If the monitor doesn't have an audio out of any kind you can't connect the speaker to it. Probably doesn't have any speakers built in so there would be no use for an audio input or output.

    You would connect that to the tape record out on the back of the stereo. You would need a cable with 2 RCA plugs at the stereo end and a 3.5mm mini plug at the transmitter end. Plan B would be to use a 1/4" male to 3.5mm male cable and use the headphone output. Some allow you to pair more than one device which might be useful.

    Feb 16, 2020. Solution. #2. While it is connected and working, open the hidden items bottom right of the task bar, right click on the speaker icon and choose Playback Devices. RIght click on your bluetooth speaker and choose Set as Default Device. Setting it as your default playback device might stabilize the connection.
