Moderator. The microphone function is designed for a mobile phone in conjunction with the in-line on/off remote switch which has no effect on a laptop or PC microphone jack. Not compatible with laptop or PC as far as the mic is concerned. You need a headset designed for a PC. Bose don't make those.
With the BlueTooth device on, go into the Control Panel, select "Hardware and Sound", under Sound select "Manage Audio Devices". You will get a window with a list of devices in the Playback tab. You would connect that to the tape record out on the back of the stereo. You would need a cable with 2 RCA plugs at the stereo end and a 3.5mm mini plug at the transmitter end. Plan B would be to use a 1/4" male to 3.5mm male cable and use the headphone output. Some allow you to pair more than one device which might be useful.
