Too many posts about Walmart in general, I suppose. I just signed up for a month of Walmart Plus ($12.95) because it was kind of a no brainer for a one time thing. I was ordering groceries for delivery anyway (ran out of time today) and I received a $10 promo code, free delivery (7.95), and a "premium" delivery slot (6pm instead of 8pm).
Just signed up for the free trial for Walmart Plus. I’ve done Grocery Pickup primarily since the pandemic started and only have gone into the store once, and that was for the pharmacy. The time saved by getting deliveries will be huge. However, I’m confused about being asked to tip the driver for the delivery.
Walmart plus inhome is not the same as the regular membership. Inhome slots are walmart employees and vans , you do not tip them. Other slots or rush are third part. Tip option appears. People will tip based on ability ascwell as thd efficiency and professional ethics or the driver. But there us only 3 tip options.
Yes I’ve been paying for Walmart Plus. And in my Walmart app. Under my Walmart plus benefits. It literally says “Free Delivery” and then in small print “Minimum $35”. It wasn’t like this 3 months ago but it’s showing this today. I’m trying to figure out how/ why they would change this. Basically defeated the purpose of the service.
It doesn't actually defeat the whole point of Walmart plus. It's really annoying but you still get free delivery if you spend $35. Nobody else gets free delivery. If you get groceries delivered to your door, and you spend $300 and don't have Walmart plus, you still have to pay the $10 delivery fee
I'm here with the same question, i.e., sharing one Walmart Plus subscription with a household. It seems the answer is no. The only workaround is sharing one Walmart username and password and trusting that everyone chooses their appropriate method of payment.
I do pickup and love it. I have gone inside Walmart maybe 3 times since 2020. I've never done the delivery because I don't like the idea of having to tip. I have to go pick up grandkids from school and pass Walmart so I don't make any extra trips. Plus it saves impulse buying.
I also have Walmart plus. If I order things for the house under 35$, I add a food item (like a banana for 0.29$). it eliminates the under 35$ fee that is 6.99$. Also, anyone who is on EBT, you can use it on your Walmart delivery, and the tip comes from that also!
I know this is a bit old but I was just looking for this too, and after some searching because I just kept ending up on the same webpage for government assistance I saw this article that said the student discount program was a limited time offer between July - September last year and if it opens up again, it’s expected to be in July again.
I've been a Walmart Plus member for years. For me, the membership pays for itself with free grocery delivery (only $35 minimum), and free delivery of household items. I've had furniture, cat litter, organizing bins, clothes, gifts, you name it, sent when I need it, usually for no shipping fee.
