Diskmaker will format (remove all any files stored on the removable storage device - the pendrive). If the upgrade fails, you can boot from the pendrive and install macOS Sierra from scratch.

    macrumors newbie. My Mac Pro currently has a bootrom of 144.0.0.0.0. Previously, my HighPoint SSD701A has been placed in slot #2 in a Raid 0 running under Mac OS High Sierra / Mojave perfectly using (3x) WD Black SN750 1Tb NVME drives. At the moment, I need to use a set of programs that are compatible with Sierra and not anything ahead of that.

    macrumors 68000. Rule of thumb: If/when NVIDIA releases a driver for a new GPU architecture like Turing, it will be for the most recent OS only. In this case, that means Mojave or later. They will never, ever, ever enable new GPU architectures on older legacy OSes, which includes 10.12 and 10.13.

    I'm hesitant to change my software because doing that often disrupts functionality for vital programs that I use frequently. But is the only way to use OBS to have 10.13 and newer? Are there perhaps earlier versions of OBS that would be compatible with Mac OS X 10.12?
