Answers. Hello and welcome to the Spectrum Community. At this time no device that has access to use the Spectrum TV app has the ability to pause/rewind/fast forward live TV. That is only an ability of the physical DVR boxes we offer. There is no information as to if or when this function will be available on the app.

The Spectrum TV app is also supported on Samsung TV's and Roku. You can try using one of the other supported devices and see if you get a better streaming experience. The Spectrum TV app does provide access to On-Demand programming, which can be paused just like any other online streaming service. The availability of episodes is determined by the TV networks but almost all new shows are fully watchable on demand. We do offer Cloud DVR service which saves recordings to a cloud server for you.

We currently have been streaming via the the Spectrum app with a Roku on a non-smart TV. We cannot pause Spectrum Live TV with the Roku. We were told by a rep that if we get rid of our DVR box and get the Spectrum DVR cloud, we will be able to pause live TV.
