OBS Studio is officially distributed as a Flatpak on Flathub and a PPA for Ubuntu 22.04 and newer. For other installation methods, including unofficial packages, click. I started with Streamlabs and switched to OBS much later. Streamlabs is a little easier when you’re starting out (especially if you spend money on the premium version), but OBS can do basically all the same things. I still use Slobs for alerts, but that’s free and I haven’t found any alternatives yet.
Streamlabs alerts default in obs. For some reason when I customize my alerts in streamlabs (desktop) such as the audio and test the follow on streamlabs, the audio plays fine onto my obs. However, when I open the "Events" tab on obs and test a follow from there, the audio is back to the default following audio. It also plays the... ashlievisuals.

Specs: not relevant, this is the OBS setup for the most capable machines Trying to figure out wether to use Bicubic vs Lanczos, heard that Lanczos is just unnecessary stress on the system but it has a higher sample count (not going to pretend I know what that means) which one yields better quality, that is the only concern
Particularly in display capture. Right-click the source in the Sources list, Transform, Edit Transform. Or just click on the source in the list and hit CTRL-E. I'd also recommend checking out the 'scale filtering' option in the right-click menu, if you're going to be resizing in the preview window.
Two monitors really should be a basic consideration for content creation. If you absolutely do not have space for a second monitor, consider keeping chat open on your phone or tablet instead. Fuck Streamlabs. OBS Studio will serve you better in the long run. StreamElements service is also better than Streamlabs.
EVERYTIME I stream , the video is clear and nice for 10 straight minutes , and boom , ''OBS disconnecting...' then ''OBS reconnection successful'' right after . Sometimes ,if im not mistaken , the whole network gets down ..just because im streaming . Happens every 5-8 min.
You can choose which capture method to use in window capture properties. Instead of using window capture try using Game Capture. This got rid of the yellow border in OBS. I hope it helps. Im on discord sharing my screen on there and it’s so annoying I can’t get rid of it. Having the same issue.
