Hi folks, anybody got extended warranty on their car from Audi and had issues with claims? I just bought a 2017 s6 and asked my local Audi dealership to buy extended warranty. They offered a package from these guys for $3200 for 4yrs 48k miles. Seems like a great deal but I’ve read some warranty claim issues online.
Fidelity Warranty Services use to underwrite Audi’s extended warranties back in the day. Over a year ago, they were an option I looked at and wish I did go with them (instead of iDeal) - ~$6k for a 2014 S7 w/ 11k miles. Other people have said Audi dealers have offered them an Assurant Extended (3rd party) warranty.

(6 years/75,000 miles). $50 deductible. Coverage in the USA and Canada."

Manufacturer's warranty for 12 more months. Audi dealer quoted a Fidelity Platinum Warranty 5YR/ 60K miles/ $250 deductible @$4.653. Increased to $5,132 if I wanted 75K miles. Audi extended warranty begins the time/mileage clock at original factory warranty beginning so it’s not a true full period of coverage as you think. It overlaps the original factory warranty period. 2014 RS5, Sepang Blue, all leather black interior. 49K miles. All options. Completely stock. Owned for over 7 years by (70's years old) careful driver. All services done by South Coast Audi where it was purchased. Excellent condition, not a scratch, Clean documented service history. Only warranty problem was a stubborn rear wing that was fixed.
Changing vacum pump did not work (JB weld) for me. Slippage is a common TC problem, and causes your car to resist acceleration while engine continues to rev. The most common cause is low or overheated trans fluid. So i will check my fluid level first. then see what happens. Possibly change oil and filter.
