I'm interested in buying a new Bedroom Set - King Size Bed, Night Tables, Armoire, Dresser, etc . . . However, I'm willing to buy a piece or two at a time if it means paying a premium for the best quality.
Ask about the cushion construction. At a minimum you want a cushion with an HR (High Resilience) foam. If the cushion has a 1 year warranty chances are that 3-4 years down the road it will begin losing its shape and resilience. Thicker cushions (8" thick) will generally hold up longer than thinner cushions.
My wife prefers the fully upholstered living room furniture, so I am now trying to research quality brands that have good reputations. The brand I have focused on most is Smith Brothers of Berne, mostly becasue I have a local dealer for it and the quality seems very good for the price point.

We did have an issue with one of their woven fabrics but I think the manu. corrected the problem. Overall a good chair for the price.
It is generally known that 8-way hand tied coils are the best seating foundation in high end furniture. If you are paying $2000 or more for your fabric sofa or above $3000 for your leather sofa you can usually expect to find a genuine 8-way hand-tied system except that there are certain styles that will not permit 8-way coils.
