Created on January 10, 2021 i cannot download anydesk.com I have been trying to download anydesk.com from a link my trader sent me and i cannot dowload it.
As soon as I realized this was a Scam (within 30 mins) I uninstalled AnyDesk. Also contacted company to put a hold on acct and then changed my logon info. But AnyDesk icon still pops up in icon bar (bottom screen) and I get notification that Windows could not delete AnyDesk Shell association (*.anydesk).

Is Anydesk part of Microsoft, educate us please. I got a call today from a lady saying she's calling from Microsoft and that there are ha lets on my laptop and that their Microsoft technician is trying to help me. She has my laptops key number so it's not a scam. I doubt it and whoever it was was working alongside other people.

Softwares like AnyDesk are being misused by scammers to take control over an innocent victim's device and threaten them to pay up or they release their personal data. It's easy to ride down a hill while it's hard to climb the hill back up.
