After the success of Supermi, other instant noodle brands appeared: "Indomie", introduced in 1972 by PT Sanmaru Food Manufacturing Co. Ltd., and "Sarimi", introduced in 1982 by PT Sarimi Asli Jaya. Sudono Salim or Lim Sioe Liong (16 July 1916 – 10 June 2012) was an Indonesian banker and businessman. He was the richest individual in Indonesia. [ 1] He was the founder and chairman of the conglomerate Salim Group before handing over its management to his youngest son Anthoni Salim (now the fifth wealthiest person in Indonesia) [ 2] in 1992.
