I just got off the phone with Apple. It turns out that this is an issue known to Apple. Apparently Dropbox Computer Backup has locked the Desktop, Downloads, and Dropbox folders. I see locked aliases, and can't tell where they're pointing. Presumably I can't download the current version of DB because the Downloads folder is not available.
Explorer | Level 3. 11-07-2022 03:31 PM. When I viewed my Dropbox account page online I saw multiple files in the Home section of the page. None of these files were shown by the Dropbox app on my PC. The app and other file browsers on my computer showed only the files that were on my hard drive in the Dropbox folder.
