My question is simple, I have an Nvidia 640m le (fermi not kepler) and windows 7. I downloaded msi afterburner and kombustor, I was able to overclock my gpu and it is great, except for the heat, it goes to 95 C.Before overclocking it I was able to play at lower fps and lower quality but my gpu wouldn't go past 70 C.
Apparently there is a strange issue in Afterburner 4.6.6 Beta 4. Auto fan speed mode is turned off when starting system from cold starts. Opening and closing the program or simply restarting Windows does not occur. It turns off automatic control without warning and selects manual mode at minimum fan speed.

Find the README.txt file that comes with any programs you used. I remember no reading after Msi one crippled my EVGA card (precision uses the SAME API ) so it ultimately shouldn't matter which u used, but i definitely remember MSI readme saying they took away ability to OC from certain Version # onward, but u can check yourself ..

In the PLACEHOLDER_MON_WND line, change the value "ff0000h" to "ffffffh", these are the colors in hexadecimal format, ffffff is the value for white.
As the title says, when i use a non-admin user on Windows afterburner doesn't start up automatically. I have to open it manually. I tried using task schedule with high privileges, but the problem stills. Any solutions?, btw i'm using a non-admin user as daily use for security reasons, so i'm interesed in keep this. Thank you.
My MSI AB settings are not being retained either at Windows startup or if I quit AB. I have applied the settings, saved them to profile 1 and the Windows Startup icon is green. Is there some addiotnal step I need to do? W10 64 bit 2004
