131 votes, 39 comments. true. I found just doing it this way (below) seems to accomplish the same thing (without the java CMD popping up) and still retaining the discord status features for RuneLite aswell, which otherwise weren't working using the java file launch method.
The only thing around for RS3 is the alt1 toolkit. It only works as an overlay and watches your screen for things such as clues and minigame interfaces if you desire. I don't know all the things runelite does, because I don't play osrs much, but I've heard that it's quite powerful and has plenty of features that many just wish were built into ...
