Greg-DB. Dropbox Staff. 08-20-2020 08:00 AM. This indicates that the app is requesting "team" scopes, which can only be authorized by a team admin, that is, on a "Business" or "work" account. The account you're logging in to isn't on Business team, and so can't authorize these scopes, so you're prompted to switch to a work account instead.
If you want your new Dropbox folder to be in: Another location other than your existing folder, click on Choose Another Location. The same location as your existing one, click Install. This will rename the existing Dropbox folder to Dropbox (Old) and will create a new Dropbox folder for the account you’re currently linking.

Try to log again in the device/app you want, After provide the password it should ask for the security code just generated, provide it and you will be good to go.
