JD Power lists Discover and AMEX significantly higher than everyone else with card satisfaction. In my experience, I've dealt with the customer service at Amex, Discover & Chase. Amex and Discover are both pretty great. Chase's sapphire CS is also pretty good in my experience.

I recently applied for a Chase Sapphire, just to enjoy some of the different benefits that it has compared to the Amex Platinum. What a shit show process it was to just try and get the card activated and get my online account working.

Never a bad experience only friendly and helpful with AMEX. Even if they can’t help in that instance you can’t help get irritated because maybe the reason you called is on you and you only want to keep relations intact. I’m sure experiences vary as well as the reason you called along with agent and time you called.
