As of this morning, there's a new savings account rate leader: DollarSavingsDirect’s Dollar Savings Account now earns 1.80% APY on all balances. About ten months ago, DollarSavingsDirect starting raising the rate on its Dollar Savings Account, by adding an eye-catching 70 bps.
I checked on NerdWallet, and a new bank showed up in their list; DollarSavingsDirect, with a 1.4% interest on savings accounts. I've never head of DSD, and NerdWallet hasn't yet reviewed that bank, so I'm unsure if it's reliable, etc.
