    Try selecting the object and then go to the color window (probably the top one in the righthand menu). There’s a small arrow/list icon in the top right corner of this window. Click it and choose RGB or CMYK, depending on what you want. Timi Boose. May 8, 2013 at 11:46 pm.

    I can’t figure out where or how to find the windows Close, Minimize and Maximize buttons for illustrator cc 2017. In CS6 they are in the upper right corner but in CC 2017 they are missing. I searched preference but did not find any settings. I tried resetting CC back to preference defaults and it did not help.

    There is no way to temporarily turn off the effect. The only adice I can offer is to in the 3D Effect turn off shading (everything shuodl go much faster), then turn it back on when done. Kotias. Set it to zoom and set the zoom centre to the appropriate position so as to imitate the direction that the object is supposed to be moving.     Indeed, opacity masks are what you are looking for here. You can create one by selecting the objects you want to be affected by the mask, and the object which will do the masking (In this case, black will represent transparent/masked areas, white/transparent will represent opaque areas) on top.
