Looking to buy a nice pair of Costa sunglasses. Looking at the 580 green in the Blackfin and tuna version. Looking for some feedback on these glasses good or bad.
The ability to lose my sunglasses increases in a corresponding ratio on how much I spend for them. I can throw a pair of $5 sunglasses in the ocean 20 miles offshore and they will be on my entry table when I get home. New pair of Costa sunglasses will be missing before I leave the store. Been down the high-end shades road too many times.
Maui Jims and Costas in my opinion are both great sunglasses. I own both of them. The Maui Jims in my opinion are great for everyday and they have a nicer style to them. I just bought a pair of Costas from the New York boat show which are the Man-O-War 580 polarized.
Ive been a costa del mar sunglasses owner for a few years. My dad gave me his old costa glasses after he bought a brand new pair. Now these old costas have about 4 years on them, and the rubber parts on the glasses have some tear and wear, its peeling off.
Re: Costa Del Mar Warranty Nonsense GWcpa, if the frames are in good shape take that pair by your local optometrist office and have them put a lens called the DRIVEWEAR in those frames. It is a polarized photochromic lens and they are awesome.
08-20-2020 10:22 AM. Now I can post photos so here they are. For the replacements we eliminated the split in the middle so the four pieces are now just two pieces. The installer said that Aquatraction had an adhesive problem with some non-skid surfaces so they've improved their adhesive and he also used a primer.
Re: Costa Del Mar Warranty Nonsense Sorry if I am derailing the thread but between me, my wife, and the rest of the family we have about 10 pairs of Oceanwaves. They seem to hold up well and warranty work as always been done with a smile and free.

These used glasses were sent to me on a warranty replacement and the lense cracked the first couple of times I wore them.
just buy Sea Striker sunglasses for $20-$30 a pair. they are CDM copycat styles and they cut the glare just the same. they are made by Cliff Weil and they'll send you a new pair if yours break due to poor workmanship or material defects. they do not repair sunglasses. they just check them out and send you a new pair.
